Canine Sports

A healthy human is a happy human. Likewise, a healthy dog is a happy dog. From proper nutrition to proper exercise. A dog needs all these things to be fit.

But why not make their exercise fun.

Following are some of the fun canine sports for your furry little friend.

An obedience trial: An obedience trial is a dog sport in which a dog must perfectly execute a predefined set of tasks when directed to do so by his handler.

Fetch: It is one of the most common and basic sport for your furry friend. You just throw something and he/she will have to go pick it up and return the thing to you.

Flyball: Flyball is a dog sport in which teams of dogs race against each other from a start/finish line, over a line of hurdles, to a box that releases a tennis ball to be caught when the dog presses the spring-loaded pad, then back to their handlers while carrying the ball

Herding:  Herding is the act of bringing individual animals together into a group, maintaining the group, and moving the group from place to place—or any combination of those. Herding can refer either to the process of animals forming herds in the wild, or to human intervention forming herds for some purpose.

Dog agility:Agility is not only an excellent exercise for your dog but also very exciting and a lot of fun. It entails your dog completing obstacles in the shortest time possible by following your voice and hand instructions as you run alongside him. Running over planks and weaving through poles helps to cultivate muscle coordination, flexibility, listening skills as well as keeping your dog energetic.
